My wife's rhodium plated ring wore off very quickly to it's yellow gold. So I was researching where to get it replated and came across this website:
http://www.dyjewels.com/je_whitegold.shtml
They said that for $100 I could get a 100micron coating of platinum or palladium and then a 25 micron coating of rhodium on top of that. This makes sense to me, since the platinum will be white and therefore when the rhodium does wear off it will not be yellow, merely dulled. Does anyone know where to look to get this service done? It makes perfect sense to me, but it doesn't seem like this could be done at your everyday jewelry store.
Thanks for your help,
Shawn
