I'm having a hard time decoding IS images.

Could I please have some feedback for a couple IS images?
What they would really mean for the diamond?
Thank you.

Hi MayBeDayzed

All the IS images look nice, but I would pick #1 with the larger black triangles between the arrows which indicate better "hot spots".

Just my $0.02.

Cheers

So the black pin points between the arrows are something to look for?
Do you want more detail and contrast in the image? And lots of Deep Blacks and Reds?

What about light leakage on the edge of the diamond?
Does it make the diamond appear smaller to the eye?

This looks like a very good IS image. Am I wrong? Thoughts?

My only comment is that you might be leaning toward the overinterpretation of IS patterns.

I agree.
They all look nice.
Another peice of the puzzle will have to be used to decide between the diamonds.

To decide between any of these diamonds is like saying they are all the same color and clarity, but some have smaller marks in the table, and others have larger marks in the crown.

All are perfectly desiraable for cut quality. do not try to seperate them for cut quality.
Move on and make a decision based on other factors
