Prong paranoia! Safe to wear?

Hey all,
Was hoping some experts could weigh in. I am loving my ring but the prongs worry me a little! I am wondering if they are a little too dainty or if they are par for the course. The ones that bother me most are the bottom two, and specifically the bottom left prong (but by all means, scrutinize them all!). Seems to extend over the diamond the least. The diamond seems secure in the setting but I'm terrified a knock will snap off a delicate prong. The ring is palladium. Is there anything the jeweler could do to improve this?

My ring is insured, but it is my first diamond ring so I am a little extra paranoid!

Thanks for looking! :twirl:

I'm not sure I could be called an expert, but I have had a lot of jewelry made. Almost all of the metals I have used have been in the platinum family. First of all, your ring is stunning! I'd love to hear more about it. I love the leaf motif and the way there is a space between the shoulders and the diamond. Where did you get the stone, what are the specs, and who made the ring? Second of all, the prongs are fine. Palladium is very strong, and the prongs don't have to cover the stone in a claw-like fashion to be secure. If you are really afraid, see a local jeweler who can offer an opinion as to whether the stone is loose or at risk. My guess is that the ring is fine. And I totally love it!!!

Very beautiful! I can't see well enough to tell. As long as there is a notch cut in that prong and the stone is seated in that notch and the prong then bends over the stone, it should be fine.
