not a princess i personally would buy. most notable is the low crown. something above at least 10% would be better.
"diascript"= inscription on the girdle. inscriptions sometimes are used to identify a particular stone.

what are you looking for in a princess? size range? price limits?

There aren't too many independent standards (=not made by sellers/shops) for princess cuts. There's the one by AGA (link) and AGS is preparing one...

AGA calls this "1B" = second best on an extremely taugh standard and basically just great. The explanation of what these cut grades stand for is isted under knowledge/fancy shapes on top of this page. Indeed, the cut to the top grade would have taken 1% more of crown height - but what is that good for ? It is not feasible to judge brilliance according to these numbers.

The stone you found has prettu good spread (= visible size, diameter) for it's weight, and this is particularly good news among princess cuts. No only it is not very deep, but the medium girdle helps here quite a bit.

1.42 carats is quite a good find - definitely the size of 1.5 cts but not quite the expense. The relative god price point makes these arre finds: case in point - there 's just one G/VS2 princess between 1.4 and 1.5 cts listed here versus 151 just above 1.5 cts

Between a dozen or so sellers, Pricescope's database makes a useful diagnostic for good buy/bad buy. Btw. the one stone is just as big as youra at 1.4 cts, 67% depth and a thick girdle - just the example I was looking for the previous sentence. Btw. same scarcity holds for any grades not just G/VS.

All in all, can't find any detraction to this one except the absence of pictures and ideal scope

Give it a good price, and it's a lucky keeper.

Just IMO, of course.
