This is a GREAT forum. Just lurking for a few days, but I''m looking forward to the day when I have enough experience to chime in...oh yeah...and the day that I can post pictures :)

Here are the numbers for a stone that I''m looking at:

#1: H/SI1
Report: GIA (July 9, 2007)
Shape: Round
Carat: 1.1
Depth %: 62.6
Table %: 57.5
Crown: 35.5
Pavilion: 43%
Girdle: Medium to Slightly Thick
Measurm: 6.50-6.59X4.10
Fluor: Medium Blue
Polish: Very Good
Symmetry: Very Good
Culet: None
Price: $5262 (USD)

Light Return: Very Good
Fire: Excellent
Scintillation: Very Good
Spread or diameter for weight
Very Good

Total Visual Performance: 2.2 - Very Good - Worth buying if the price is right

I think these are all the numbers. It''s definitely eye-clean. At a price of $5262 (from a local, Northern Virginia Jeweler) what do you think about this stone?

P.S. I don''t want to purchase off the internet. I''m a small business owner and try to support other businesses in the area

Thanks in advance!!!

It seems good to me.
The 2.2 is not a problem if the stone has excellent optical symmetry.

if it is for a pendant then go for it.

But if its for a ring with prong setting, INSURE it
Oops - post meant for another thread

Was wondering how you came to that conclusion...
