So happy for you ckrickett, you had a wish and then came a great sale. I think these are so pretty, and your strands looks so white. It's such a modern look, update for a white strand.

Pirard, those look gorgeous! How can you wear the two strands as a rope? Do you just attach one strand to the other using the clasp? Are you getting a special clasp for that? Also, how do they make the graduation work for a rope, too?

These are strung separately, using the fish hook clasp. I am a big fan of funky clasps showing, so I intend to wear it as a rope with the clasps showing. If they don't work, I will swap out for orbit style. Since the pearls are strung as two strands, they will graduate toward the mid point of each, making them a little more jumbled when wear them as a rope (I don't mind that look at all!) The smaller 16" strand is also a slightly smaller pearl mm. The larger, longer strand is done at 18".

Very cool, Pirard! I'm sure it will look great either doubled or as a rope. I'm tempted to get a 16" now, of course I'm getting my 18" soon now. Oh well.

The sale goes all month! Just saying'....I couldn't resist because the price was really great for these strands. I have a feeling these are going to be a lot of fun to wear.

Thanks Pirard. The sale goes on all month, but my marriage should go on beyond this month ) Now seriously, it might be too much of a hassle to send the strand back to be matched to a 16" one, considering I'm in Canada -- not sure how I would need to deal with customs. But it does look wonderful in your photos! Once I get mine and I'm able to try it on and explore wearability and weight I will definitely consider it.

You just indicate on the custom form that you are sending them back for return or repair. When PP sends them back to you, they let customs know that they are not new (that they were a return or repair), and you only pay duty on whatever is new in your parcel. When I sent mine back to be lengthened, I only paid duty on the extra pearls added on. So you only really end up paying for shipping and insurance.

And here it is! I love it, nicer than I expected; has lots of personality. I got the 18" and I think that's the length that suits me; I'm not sure I could wear a 16". So perhaps the two nested strands as Pirard has ordered wouldn't suit me. Need to think about it. Like the idea of a rope I can convert in two strands, but maybe I'm just getting pearl gridy, I really like the 18" as it is.

That strand looks fantastic on you!! Mine are supposed to arrive tomorrow. The 18" length suits your neck well...looks very balanced. I am sure that a rope will make for versatility, but really it is gorgeous on its own.

OK here are some photos...the strands are lovely. I have also posted a photo of the new strands with my honora ripples, purchased from QVC. The colors of the white ripples don't really come out well...there are wonderful flashes of pinks, blues and greens present on all pearls. Also the fish hook clasps are very easy and look wonderful when strung together (see neck shots)...and so sorry, in my haste to post, I didn't even take off my tin cup!

The white ripples connected are great, and that colored ripple strand is beautiful!

They are very comfortable to wear as a "double strand". The clasps lay flatly against the back of the neck, and there is some limited movement. The pearls themselves have a more grainy feel to them (thanks to those ripples) but they are not pitted. They are really fun in a necklace...they are not to be taken too seriously, although they can be worn for a sophisticated look. I think they are the perfect twist on the traditional white double strand.
