Yes, a supernova is a type of cut. More specifically, it''s a type of oval cut. Barry uses it to keep his ovals from getting blacked out in the middle (the bowtie effect) or on either end (the half-and-half effect). It''s generally very sparkly and bright, although of course that varies depending on the type and color of stone.

I think that''s a nice raspberry garnet although I suspect it might be too dark for my taste in person.

Ya is looking a little dark from my monitor too:) Barry has good return policy. Maybe you can consider getting the stone first to look at it IRL. Since you can have it return should it not be your cup of tea.

Cute! Yes I agree it is dark. I''ll just keep browsing. I''ve liked some of the spinels I''ve seen in the pink tones. I''d love an asscher or radiant
