Well, for one we''d need more information, including crown height. I''m not crazy about the table size or the depth, and it faces up smaller than I''d like (though I suppose not extremely so for a princess), but the price isn''t a rip-off.

I have requested for the crown height etc. In you opinion, what would be an ideal princess cut diamond for under $6000? Please let me know if you have any suggestions.

Thanks again,

Mike

It's not a bad stone at all, it looks very nice. But that's probably (and I say probably because you never know until you get stats/IS etc) not an ideal cut. The table is too high. You'd like the table to be less than the depth, preferably low 70s or 60s somewhere. Also, VTK girdle means that there could be some weight in that area where it's not doing you any good.

I found one of the best places to get yourself straight on *typical* princess cuts that perform well is by looking at the stats AGA outlines for ideal diamonds. That gives you a good idea of what you're looking for. But again, there is a lot of variance in princess, so this could be the best performing diamond ever--but its stats don't typically lead to the *most *ideal performance.

I would pass. This stone meets the minimum number requirements, but I don''t love it. Can you get an ideal scope image? My biggest problem with this stone is the VTK girdle. Also, it just doesn''t speak to me. But, if it does speak to you, that''s great!

wooo here''s what Lesley said in an old thread..HTH

One of the first questions all of our sales people ask when a customer calls or e-mails in is "where did you find Whiteflash?" The minute they mention Pricescope, the Pricescope price applies. The customer does NOT have to remember to mention Pricescope, because they are ALWAYS asked.

The Pricescope price is a WIRE price. I believe that this is true for most of the vendors on Pricescope, although I won''t swear by it. 99% of our customers have absolutely no problem understanding that the Pricescope price is a wire price - margins are very tight with these Pricescope discounted prices as my fellow competitors can vouch.

For customers who find Whiteflash through other avenues aside from Pricescope, there is a 2% wire discount off the list price.

That stone is definitely not *bad* whatsoever. I''m not sure if you can do better at that weight, I can''t say I''m looked. But I would consider looking further at that weight, or moving down in weight and getting an ideal cut.
