I think that''s because the picture was a bmp file, and I had to convert it to a jpg file before I could upload. Glad to do it though. I like comparing vendor shots with owner shots. So what are you planning on doing with your new beauty?Date: 7/6/2009 10:20:10 PM

Oh thanks TL! Hmm, try as I might, it would not let me post it! The stone looks more red in their photo I think. I like the hot pink though.

Here are some pictures of the pink spinel I received from Swala Gem Traders. It''s a 1.3 ct. spinel and measures 6.6 x 6.6. I can''t post the vendor picture for some reason. The stone is more hot pink in real life I think.
Thanks SS. This is my first trillion shape. It''s fun to have something different.Date: 7/6/2009 11:06:54 PM

Well, that would be a bit concerning. Did you get the bonus t-shirt? (lol) UPS just left it on my front porch. I didn''t even have to sign for it.Date: 7/7/2009 7:28:41 PM

Sounds like the same way he sent my tsavorite. I had a scare though because mine was opened by customs and I could see the tape and all.Fortunately, the stone was fine.
If the stone was lost, would you be reimbursed by Eric?Date: 7/7/2009 7:28:41 PM

Yes, I did. I knew about the shirt so I requested a size Medium. I heard some got an XL.Date: 7/7/2009 7:34:39 PM

I have no idea. I guess Eric would claim insurance from his insurer and reimburse me that way.Date: 7/7/2009 7:36:17 PM

My spessartite ring from Richard Wise was sent FedEx. It was left inside my garage by my door into the house. I was home but they never knocked! I didn''t have to sign for that ring either!!!!!! That really blew my mind!Date: 7/7/2009 7:41:40 PM

I think I would be tempted to pass on that info to Mr Wise. I would think that would make him feel very nervous indeed. I doubt it was the kind of service he (or you) paid for either.
