pink sapphire melee

Has anybody here used pink sapphire melee in a ring (with a center stone)? Or seen any nice designs? Any inspiration pictures would be much appreciated!
Would pink sapphire halo look good with a pink center stone or too much pink?

Wow, this is really helpful, thanks kas (and I think I made the links clickable now)
The second one is really pretty and delicate, I should check with this Etsy designer (looks expensive). I wonder if this type of pink halo would look ok with a pink spinel. Although I could do the reverse of the ring in the second thread, a pink spinel in the middle, then a diamond halo and then a pink halo on the outside. Crazy???

I believe you can find more examples if you image search under something like "fancy pink halo" (or anything similar), cause a colored halo around a stone of the same color is used quite often in colored diamond jewellery.

What did you think of working with Laurie Sarah? I found this setting on her Etsy web site, that I think would be perfect for my little oval spinel. I didn''t get a chance to e-mail her yet. I wonder if she has a shop in LA, I''m just a short drive away...

I had a really great experience with her. I found her very pleasant and accommodating. I appreciated the good communication and how quick she was to answer my e-mails and questions. Plus the final product is gorgeous. I''m going to hopefully work with her again soon on a mother''s ring I''m designing.
