OPINIONS Please on these Specs for Emerald & Asscher

Hi everyone...i have been learning alot from this site, and I am going to see 2 diamonds from GOG this weekend...here are the specs, i actually picked these 2 diamonds from more than 3 dozen stones they had to offer. please give me you feedback I reall appreciate it, I am very torn between the Emerald and the Asscher, Please give your honest feedback about these specs...I really appreciate

Nicole, That''s a tough choice. I bought my asscher from GOG and I love it so I say asscher. They are 2 different looks. Good luck!!!

I am sorry, but i was not given the crown height by GOG
They are going to have the stones sent overnight so I can look at them on Saturday
DO you think I can take pictures of the stones and post them on here?
is this something stores allow you to do?
How is the crown height figured?

Crown Angle 19.3 degrees

Girdle thickness 1.5%

Pavillion height 3.12mm 52%

looks good to me.
GOG can and will snap some pictures for you.

The most important thing will be how they look to you.
Both have the potentual to be great diamonds from the info provided.

Hi Nicole,

Your numbers look good. Dont get so preoccupied with those numbers though, especially crown height. How do these stones look to you? Pick the best performer based mostly on that, imo- that is how I picked my ec. As far as emerald vs. asscher, is the emerald more classic shape (e.g. leanish?) Asschers are more square shaped, and the pattern is different. Decide which look appeals to you more...

Sounds like the classic ec, with a ratio of 1:49 - 1:00. Mine is 1:50 - 1:00. The numbers on the ec sound perfect.....I''m not familiar with asschers. I''d go with the ec....but then, I already have!!
