What do you think of this ring? I have not seen it in person yet-and I don’t have any more photos. Before I ask the seller for more pics or video I wanted to get some general feedback from you lovely PSers. I am interested in buying it to wear but also would like the option to resell it (without taking a loss) at some future time, when I am able to upgrade. What might a fair price be? Does it looks like the stones are OEC? About how old is it?

Really hard to tell much from those photos but from what I can tell the stones look heavily included. They are also probably very dirty. And they do not look like G/H color either...need better photos and preferably good video with slow movement to better evaluate the facet pattern and on/off light pattern and light play across the table.

I second the it’s possibly very dirty thought.

Also caution about buying with the need to resell without a loss.
Part of that equation is not the ‘stats’ of the ring itself. But an available and able buyer at the right time you need it.

Post (or ask the mods to move)
In the antique/vintage forum.
Some of the ladies there are really good at the questions you’ve asked.

That’s a great suggestion. How do I ask a mod to move it ?

Hit the ‘report concern’ button at the bottom left of your post.
:)

PS
I love the crown design of this ring. Is it your size or would it need to be resized much that would make the finger coverage much different than the photo represents?
It’s hard to tell anything about the beauty of the stones themselves from the picture. Or if the prongs need any work = more cost.

Hmmm, it’s hard to tell much from these pictures but sometimes it is worth a chance.

First of all, is there a return policy? The prongs don’t seem to be in bad shape but again the pictures may not be showing everything. It is referred to on the appraisal as a half hoop which leads me to think it’s British in origin.

For a time period I think 1930’s based on other rings I’ve seen with that type of setting. I think if this is British in origin that the hallmarks inside the band can help you date and tell who made the ring.

I don’t have any advice as far as value and recouping your investment. Nearly everyone who buys jewelry accepts that they will probably not recoup or make money off a piece. Especially because even with careful wear, diamonds can chip. Buy it because you love it, not as an investment for the future, you would be better off to hang on to the money or invest it for a future upgrade.
