Opinion on two rounds, please!

I need help comparing the following two rounds. Both are about the same price. They are pretty similar but the 1st scored a 1.5 in the HCA, the second scored a 5.5.

Diam - 6.39
Depth - 61.2%
Crown - 34.4*
Pav - 40.7*
Table - 59%
Culet - 0.9%
Girdle -Slt Thk to Ver Thk
polish -very good
sym - very good

Round 1.147 ct
I - SI2
Diam - 6.75
Depth - 61.3%
Crown - 34.6*
Pav - 41.5*
Table - 58.3%
Culet - 0.6%
Girdle -Med to Slt Thk
polish -excellent
sym - excellent

Honestly, I wouldn't consider either stone a real winner.



While the first stone appeared to score well on the HCA, the HCA assumes a medium girdle. The stone you ran has a thick to VERY thick girdle. This means you're paying for weight you can't see in diameter.



The second one is WAY out of whack on the pavilion angle.



How do these price compared to AGS0 stones?

Al makes good points. Despite the size, symmetry, and polish advantages of #2, the HCA score would take it out of consideration for me (with that pesky pavilion angle as the cause); if you liked #1, the girdle I think doesn''t retard performance, so it''s is probably OK, if you like it, but again, you may be able to do better with another option, where you''re not paying more for additional weight.
