Hi
I''ve come across something on Bluenile which I can''t quite explain - Why isn''t this cut considered "Ideal" by BN?
(Some information inserted from the AGS cert: http://www.bluenile.com/diamonds_details.asp?pid=LD00957323). As far as I can tell, it''s only "negatives" are the symmetry and polish - which are Excellent instead of Ideal (per AGS). It scores a 0.6 on the HCA - But yet the cut itself is only considered "Very Good" by Bluenile standards, and not "Ideal".
Carat weight: 1.02
Cut: Very Good
Color: G
Clarity: VS2
Depth %: 60.0%
Table %: 57%
Crown Angle: 34.0
Pavillion Angle: 40.4
Symmetry: Excellent
Polish: Excellent
Girdle: Thin to medium
Culet: Pointed
Fluorescence: None
Measurements: 6.50x6.56x3.92 mm
Am I missing something? Thanks for any help.
