Octagonal Asscher Aquamarine

Hi,
Julia sent me photos of my finished asscher this morning. She is a good photographer, and she kept me up to date during the entire design process with photographs. The long wait was worth it; I think you will agree.

The stone is a recut which ended up at 3.94 carats. The color is very blue, and I cannot wait to wear it.
I gave her complete control on the design, and she came up with something very unique that suits the stone perfectly.
However, I did have one unusual request: I wanted a tubular shank. Julia investigated, and special ordered the material.
Everything else was ready when the material arrived on Thursday, so she finished up quickly. She wanted to make sure the tubing was substantial enough for a ring, yet not thick/bulky in diameter. I think it looks perfect, but she said she will thin it down if I want her to after I try it on. It is a size 6. Here are a couple of photos. What a lovely ring, and I love the aesthetic touches in the gallery and the steps in the bezel. I wish we had a face on shot of it. Probably looks like a hall of mirrors face on.

Julia is one class act, isn''t she?
She sent photographs of the work as it progressed, and at one point she stated
"I can''t tell you the satisfaction of a perfect fitting bezel."

MTG and others: No, she did not do the recut herself. i do not know who did the recut, because the dealer had it done for me before I saw the stone.
