Hi, all. I posted a similar question on another board, but thought it might get more views here. I want to reset my wedding rings. Here they are in their current state. Here are the specs. Any ideas? I really want a halo and would like to use the stones I have, but I''m not sure if they are the right size. Here is a pic of the ring as it is.

Color of the ctr. stone is H, clarity is SI-1. Size is .84
All of the accent stones are full cut round diamonds, and they actually total .95

Thanks in advance!

I love halos with split shanks, and love this one (even though it looks like a separate band).

The above halo/pave is lovely. You could also just re set the center stone as a solitaire - on a thin shank to accentuate the stone - with the other stones as an eternity band. That''s a really timeless look. In plat. or WG.

based on my not so great math, I''d say the accent stones in your set are about 5 pointers each. too big for the halo itself and depending the look you are going for in the bands, they will be thicker than the bands in the halo ring you posted. even using you''re own stones you probably aren''t going to save a ton of money. tiny accents stones are not that expensive, it''s the labor involved that increases the price. You might consider just keeping your set as is and setting a colored stone or CZ in it and just getting a new setting for your stone.

I like this idea. I think the old setting would be lovely with an oval sapphire. And I definitely like the halo above.

I have to agree with Mrs. Salvo. Your current diamonds may overpower your center stone.

I love that new setting!
