It means it's made to be used with a peg head setting for the diamond like the one below. You see the small 'peg' or nub at the base? That would slot into that small hole in the metal in the center of the setting. I am sure your jeweler would pick the right head for your stone/setting.

I''m no expert sonoma, but many, many jewelers use Stuller for components. I am sure he would probably order the right head once he''s seen the stone - it may be that he has it in stock but, if not, he could get it in a matter of days. I am concerned about setting a cushion in a peg head though. I''ve heard some issues about setting cushions into single prong heads/baskets that weren''t designed for that shape. They can become loose. Has anyone here on PS had issues with cushions set into single prong heads? Does anyone know if they make peg heads specifically for cushions? I''d love to know the answers too!

One more thought: with cushions there are so many variables that they may not make standard heads for them. It may be that they need to be custom made. I don''t know for sure but I wanted to throw that out there. I''m looking forward to hearing from all our experts here!
