need ring setter in l.a---problem with platinum prongs

hi guys- i am desperate. after a year i finally purchased the ring of my dreams by cathy waterman. i want to change the aquamarine stone which is 6mm with a diamond that i have that is only 5.5. none of my local jewelers will touch the ring because the prongs have miniscule diamonds that they claim will be ruined when trying to pry back the prong to replace the stone. i am so bummed as it is my dream band and would love the other stone in it. any advice??? or referrals. thanks a ton. i would love it done asap as my baby is due soon dec5th and we may plan a quick lv wedding.

I would suggest you contact Cathy Waterman who made the ring, and see if she will or can do what you want.

Hope she is local to you, as she will probably need to see the stone you intend to set in the ring as well.
