Hey everyone. I've been lurking around for the past month or so, but this is my first post! :)
Thanks to everyone, I've been able to find out more than I ever thought possible about diamonds! I'ts been a lot of fun.

But now the difficult part, picking the setting!
Which of these does everyone like the most? The center stone will most likely be a ACA round diamond (1.2-1.25 ct). Her ring size is 5.5.

Vatche Royal Crown:

Verragio Cathredal Solitaire

Scott Kay Contemporary Solitaire:

Also, if anyone has hand pics of this Verragio solitaire, could you please post it? I can't find much on it. I've seen plenty of pics of the Vatche and Scott Kay rings.

Please help me!

Well, I have a Vatche ring and so does my daughter, and I think they are great quality. The only reason I don't like the Royal Crown as much is because the shank is pretty wide and I think a thinner shank (around 2mm) makes the stone look larger. The Verragio and Scott Kay are very similar, so I really don't have a preference on those, other than to say I would buy a setting from WF.

My favorite solitaires on WF site are the Vatche Caroline and the WF Legato Sleekline solitaire. In fact, the Legato is similar to your last two and I think it is prettier and a great price. You can even get that ring in platinum for less than the wg price of the Verriago and SK, probably. You are paying a LOT for the brand on the Verragio and Scott Kay.

I voted Scott Kay because I had it at one time and it is soooo much more gorgeous in person than pictures. It really lifts the diamond and doesn't cover it up very much. I love me a nekkid diamond :naughty:.

ETA: I had the Whiteflash Legato as well and it didn't feel as substantial and luxurious as the Scott Kay, so I really think it's worth the extra $$

Now that it's been mentioned, I do also like the Caroline setting

I voted the Verragio only because I like the profile pattern. I have also had that Scott Kay setting and I did not like it - had it for less than a week before scrapping it. I felt it was cheap looking (mine was palladium)... plus I had an issue with how my stone was set, but that's another story. ;))

Good, I am glad you will consider it! It is a very elegant setting.

I have an emerald cut diamond now, but it is set in a similar fashion (open setting, not a lot of prong covering the stone). My second vote would be the Vatche Caroline. So funny that I said the SK is luxurious and another poster thinks its cheap! LOL. I guess it's personal preference--mine is in platinum though.

After doing some more research, I also like the thin shank of the Vatche Felicity. The thread was supposed to help me narrow my choices, instead it's giving me more! lol

If I end up too undecided, I'll play it safe and get the Vatche Tiffany replica :naughty:
