Hi everyone,

My sister has just received an "upgrade" ring from BGD. She is thrilled with it. I only know a few stats, but it's a .80 J SI1 stone, round brilliant, ideal cut. It is completely stunning in person. It's her 30th birthday pressie from her husband, but her birthday isn't until August so she's 'trying' to leave it in the box until then. She wears a size 8.

Either way, it's really gorgeous. The stone's cut definitely makes up for the colour. It is set in the standard 4 prong stock setting which is incredibly delicate in person and really enhances the stone again. Emily worked with one of BGD's new staff to find this stone and she couldn't be happier. She must've had a sunny day too as she's taken a few good pics for me to share with you. this ring proves you can get a gorgeous ER for a fair budget, which had to include AU conversion and import taxes/GST.

Gorgeous, gorgeous ring. I''m a huge solitaire fan, and this one is just perfect. And, tell your sister there is no reason to leave it in the box until August. Good grief! I started wearing my 25th anniversary upgrade several months early. And, now that it is about 12 years later, I still remember it as my 25th anniversary ring. This ring will be her 30th birthday ring whenever she begins wearing it. And, years from now, who will remember when she first put it on her finger? She should start wearing it immediately, IMHO. I will definitely let my sister know the consensus is to wear it now, but knowing my sister, that might mean she''ll feel due another "little" present on her actual birthday! I highly doubt it will make it til August also, but I think she''s seeing others doubt as a challenge to be overcome. Thanks for all your comments, she will really love it I think.

Can you believe that from paying the invoice it only took a week to actually arrive in Australia, allowing 2 days for Fedex delivery that only actually allowed about 4 working days to set the ring. Pretty amazing.

The setting is open on all sides so there''s a huge amount of stone on show. This particular RB seems to be fairly deep as well so the open setting really shows it very nicely.
