Hey Harleigh,

I was just peeking back in to see if you posted more pics of your cool little save the date boxes. And then read that you were thinking of filling the box with silk leis (which I think is a great idea). But if you haven''t manage to find a place to buy them yet (i.e. off ebay!! haha) I used this place http://www.centurynovelty.com to buy leis and and other luau decorations for the luau themed baby shower I threw for my sister. I thought it was pretty cheap, esp. since you''re going to be buying in bulk, they give a small discount.

http://www.centurynovelty.com/items_244.html
- variety of leis

http://www.centurynovelty.com/detail_242_146-1001.html - my favorite where these adorable rubber duckies. i ordered a whole bunch and just set them around the house, and the guests loved them! everyone took home a set of four because I was able to order enough.

Edit: I just realized that you most definitly NOT have room in your box for the ducks...what was I thinking?!?!? oh well I had to share. haha

Hi April,

Thanks for the info! Too funny! I actually stayed up late last night to bid on some silk lei''s (on ebay, of course!) that ended up being about $.47 each with shipping. They are the same as these ones: http://www.centurynovelty.com/detail_244_146-060.html.

I also ended up ordering shipping boxes from ebay, too, which are a bit larger then I planned on, so I thought the lei''s would be good decoration AND filler! I actually will have enough lei''s to put 2 in each box if need be, so then that allevieates the need for any packing material, too, I hope!

I am actually going to check out that site you sent me for other cute stuff...thank you for the link! Do you by chance ever go to Wishing Well? They have some great stuff for things like this that are at ridiculously cheap prices sometimes. When I post my OOT Welcome Bag stuff you''ll see what I mean!

Thanks for thinking of me!

Welcome to PS!

Thanks so much for the sweet words! I''ve gotten so many great ideas from others on here that I hope some of my creativity will help someone else somewhere down the road!

It''s nice to make your acquaintance, and many congratulations on your engagement!

Thank you! So, can I hire you to be my wedding planner or what???? I thought I was doing a good job until I was at the bridal shop today with one of my BM''s who was getting fitted for her dress and chatted up a future bride trying on dresses for her wedding in...........JUNE 2009!!! Is she serious???? I literally ordered mine 3 weeks ago and I''m getting married in a little over 6 months.....or is it me?? Is that normal? I understand the excitement but.....

Sure thing! I am much better at helping others than helping myself!

And holy crap about that other bride...are you kidding me??? That poor girls excitement is going to go right on out the door as she changes her mind about a zillion times between now and then! YIKES!!!

I''ve got less than 9 months to go, and I figure it''ll be a race to the finish!

Let me know if I can help you with anything! I''d be more than glad to help if I''m able!

I can''t believe I haven''t posted yet about how much I love them. I love them!

About buying dresses 2 years in advance... I''ve been told by 3 consultants in 3 different stores that it happens often. I can''t imagine... I changed my mind 100 times since last year, and we changed our venue and time of ceremony! So... book your venues early if you can, but the dress better wait until less than a year out, after the venues are booked.
