This baby went to Julia Kay Taylor to make me a bezeled masterpiece. I gave her total creative freedom on the ring and can''t wait to see what she comes up with. She will be using Argentium Silver and a Rose Gold Bezel. I am so excited.

AAHHHH, too long!! Julia is swamped and I am sooooo impatient. But I know it will be worth the wait.

The stone is gorgeous! I am intrigued to see how Julia sets the stone. It is fun to throw a little caution to the wind and let them have their own creative control. I say that, but honestly I am afraid to do that myself!!

LG, probably at least 3 or 4 weeks. She just finished a bracelet for me, which was not a custom piece, just off her web site, and that took about 4 weeks. Although she did say that she wants to move fast on the orders she has now to clear up her schedule for holiday orders. So hopefully it will be sooner. She sent me this picture, which she said she will use as a possible starting point. I am so excited!!!!!

I am back with a sketch from JKT. It''s love at first sight. She really nailed the design. The bezel and work on the side will be 18k rose gold and the rest in Argentium silver. Her time quote is 4-6 weeks

but I keep asking her what sort of bribes she takes for quicker work!!

Anyway, here it is, side view and top view. I really wanted a top view because I wanted to make sure she would preserve the beautiful shape of the cushion and not round it any. What do you all think?

I think it looks awesome, and that I need to get in line for a JKT piece.

I have yet to see one that I didn''t love.

My local designers take 4 to 6 weeks as well. It is worth the wait for a fine piece of jewelry that you will enjoy for years to come.
