My 10 Year Upgrade

i just picked this up on Friday. Our 10 year anniversary isn't until September, but we are planning to take a cruise for our anniversary and take the kiddies to Disney next winter, so DH gave me the go ahead to get this early so it would be easier financially.

We started dating, got engaged, got married, found out our first pregnancy was twins and found out we were pregnant with another pregnancy all during the month of September (obviously different years!

), that is why we chose sapphires for the sides.

The center stone is 1.3, I and the sapphires are .50 each. The setting is a heavy trellis in 14K X1 white gold, size 6.

Thanks! I was never really 100% happy with my original wedding set. For the past 2 years, I have been wearing a 3 stone diamond ring that I inherited from my aunt when she passed away (my uncle was a jeweler) but I always wanted something that was mine. My birthstone is diamond, so I wanted to incorporate some color as well. I need to take it back to have one of the prongs on the sapphires fixed (it sticks up higher than the others). I LOVE the trellis. And I''m hoping that the new X1 white gold will not need to be plated.

1X (or is it X1?) white gold is suppose to have very little nickel mixed in with the gold, so it is very white and does not require rhodium plating. The local jeweler that we purchased the ring from offered this option at no extra charge, so I decided to try it since I hate having to let go of my rings to have them plated. I researched here on PS first; if you type in "1X white gold" in the search, a few topics will pop up. We''ll see in 6 months if it looks the same or if it looks like it needs to be plated.

I will take some photos of the side view after I get the kiddos down for their naps!

It''s FABULOUS!! Congrats on 10 years...a small miracle these days..considering so many couples I know call it quits after 1 or 2 years! Something to be proud of for sure...and the ring...OMG..I absolutely love it!! Thought of that myself, adding two side stones, sapphires to represent my two boys! They both have pink birthstones (June/Oct), so I much prefer those YUMMY blue sapphires in that gorgeous trellis setting! Looks great paired with the plain gold band, which is how I would wear that 3 stone as well!!
