multicolour demantoids and tanzanian spinel

They arrived today! I only have indoor shots for now.

7mm x 10mm 1.95 cts oR 3/4 Tanzanian spinel

3.5mm medium yellowish green demantoids

Please pay no attention to the hands.

I wasn''t expecting these stones to arrive today so I was unprepared to take sun pics but I did notice that in the sun the spinel has this weird purpley blue color to it. I was able to get it to do it with the flashlight as well.

New stones with my mahenge spinel. I'm definitely keeping the new spinel but the mahenge is still my favorite.

Last one for now. I think these little demantoids will work with the mahenge.

Love the glow and saturation of that stone! The demantoids brilliant sparkle compliment the center stone nicely

Nice stones; the spinel has a soft silky appearance which contrasts well with the sparkly demantoids.

Sleepyspinel, if it weren''t for your gorgeously sleepy spinel I''d have no idea they even existed. So thank you for posting pics of your dreamy stone.

I fell hook, line, and sinker for it.

I''m loving the red/pink/orange and green combo too.

I ended up getting 4 medium slightly yellowish green demantoids and 6 medium light yellowish green demantoids. They are all 3.5mm in size but the color difference between them while slight is still obvious when they''re beside each other. I originally only wanted 2 demantoids but wound up with 10.

I''m leaning toward incorporating the 4 nicer green ones into one piece with the mahenge.

Suggestions?

Good point. The demantoids not only have color that compliments the pink spinel, but sparkle as well.

Did you say what mm size they are? Since you want PSers to give you some ideas...

I think so, the demantoids were all listed at 3.5mm each. I bought them as two seperate groups so there might be slight differences in size but it''s unnoticeable even when they''re all beside each other. The slight difference in color is noticeable though. I hope to have better pictures later this week.

I never thought I''d say this because I don''t particularly like multi-coloured combinations but the spinel/demantoids look great together. Somebody above hit the nail on the head when they said the slight sleepiness of the spinel combined with the sparkly demantoids really works and it does. I can''t wait to see the finished article.

OK so they are all the same size. 3.5mm

I think that they look GREAT with the Spinel...and I personally would want to wear the "leftover" stones all the time because the color is so electric. But maybe you plan on wearing the ring all the time too!

A "DBTY" would be the first thing I''d price out. I wonder if Stuller has this as a premade setting? Or Adwar?

Nice hint Chrono!! LOL!.

Did you check your two spinels with a UV light? If they UV fluor, they''ll look even more saturated in the sun.
