Nearly a year ago, I came on here to get some help in choosing a diamond and setting - you were all great! I ended up getting a princess cut stone and (relatively) inexpensive setting from Good Old Gold. The original threads and photos are here:

I had opted to go with an inexpensive setting so that my fiance could choose a final setting that she really loved, since she has several rings and really enjoys that sort of thing. She continued to work with Sarah from GOG and chose a final setting - -it was months ago, actually, and I have been remiss in not posting photos. The setting is by Tolkowsky, 18k gold with a platinum head. One of the things that she loved about this setting is that the stone is very protected and sits a bit lower, but is still really visible from the sides.
She loves it and gets compliments all the time. Thank you again for your expert assistance in helping me find something really great that was within budget.
