And i want to say that i wish Angello''s surgeon a Happy New Year and wish him luck and happiness. I remember he took
responsibility to release the boy home when therapy team did not think so and Nan was devastated.

I have worked with 4 therapists from this school for the last 2 years.
I had the opportunity to meet his teacher this past Friday.
I gave her the laundry list of his "special needs" and read her the Riot Act! HA

- don''t touch his stomach area around the tube
- watch for his skin coloring- if he turns blue
- watch if he gets the sweats
- he ain''t gonna do NUTTIN he don''t wanna do (that''s my favorite)
- he''ll try most any food but he picks
- he''s very protective of his chest area
- his meds are given at home

- And lastly DON''T TOUCH HIS STOMACH AREA AROUND THE TUBE!!!!!!! never, ever, never, ever, never

I think I''ll have to "school" the bus driver and the bus Aide on these fine points too!

btw- anyone who''s interested can join in the caravan following the bus on Monday at around 12:30 ish

Putting that last child on a bus for the first time is probably worse than when you put the first one on. . . until you realize you are free for a little while. . . then you dry up the tears and get in the car and take off

Cool beans! Angelo must be home from his new adventure now! Hope today was the first of many new steps forward for the specialist boy on Pscope!

Angello''s first day went pretty well.
The teacher sent home and nice long detailed note about his day. I thought that was pretty thorough.
It appears that it''s just Angello and "Christopher" in the classroom with the teacher and the Aide.- not bad.

The teacher even called today to go over his day.

I admit it- I bawled like a baby that got stuck with a diaper pin. My little man- all big and bad on the bus.

I think he liked it. He definitely inter-acted with Christopher and the teachers.

Since I had the stomach bug I couldn''t go home and have a stiff drink to help me cope! OH the misery!

We''ll see how it goes on Thursday.
p.s- oops no pics- with all the excitement and confusion and trying to hop in the van to follow behind- I left the camera in the house! Darn

I finally got a chance to get online and check this thread. Wow, first day of school. That is HUGE!!! He seems to be doing so well!
