A friend sent me a link to an "inspirational" piece. It seemed to involve a lot of bike riding and people meeting up and overjoyed to see each other; accompanying this were printed slogans of "do what you love, do it often", "if you don't love your job, quit, if you don't have time, make time", "all emotions are beautiful", "when you eat, appreciate every last bite", go out and start something with people". By the end I was thinking, listen Sonny Jim stop telling me what to do.

How do you respond to the whole "inspiration", "motivation" thing? Either individuals or the collective leading you onwards and upwards to a better more fulfilling life.

Most of it sounds pretty good if you have the time and money.

Ignore it, that's how I respond. Most of it is common sense, trite, and superficial, at least the barrage I get in email - and generally close to impossible to do in real life. I don't even reply, I just zap it.
