I was in Antwerp with a friend of mine, a Colombian who studies in Belgium.
We went to visit Paul. Guess why.
I just received the titanium tension ring Bruce Boone made for me.
Wow, this guy does nice work. The ring is everything I asked for.
A very great finish!
I think everybody remembers Greg''s ring.
Wink was a class act too, he was so friendly to order this ring for me and to have it sent!
So I took my new ring and went to Paul, who already had the diamond (1.26-N-VVS1).
He showed me an incredible princess of 1.30-F-VS2.
I was astonished by its spread, it compared very well to my 1.26.
And the VS2? I could not find it, even with my loupe.
I think you can go very low in clarity if you buy a princess.
Paul patiently answered all the questions of my friend who visited Antwerp for the first time, and let us look at the diamonds with H&A viewer, IdealScope and ASET.
After that, Lieve, the assistant of Paul, found us a setter who set the stone very quickly.
I''ll try to take pictures this weekend with my sister''s camera.
Now, I can''t stop playing with my new Infinity diamond, and I love to put it next to my ACA.
You can think I''m crazy but I believe painted and unpainted girdle H&A''s complete each other, perhaps should I buy another 1.25-1.3 N-color unpainted H&A, so I could make a great 3-stone ring, with the bigger ACA in the middle...
About the N-color, it really depends on the lighting, I would not dare to say that it''s white, but it is surely very bright. They are cool for antique and vintage settings, but also for modern jewelry like my titanium ring. I hope pics will show you more.
