I'm a huge West Virginia Mountaineer fan. I watched their game last Saturday night, versus the Texas Longhorns, on pins and needles (and watched most of the 4th quarter peeking from my kitchen). I came across this article yesterday - turns out the game had a lot more significance than merely wins, losses and passive fandom. Heartwarming, yet heart wrenching at the same time.
