In the next 6 months I am planning on buying either a round Tahitian necklace or a blue madama. Either of these would be a "holy grail" piece for me. The blue madamas would be easy as I know I like the darkest blues and pinks most; but, Tahitian strands come in SO many shades! I know I would want uniform colors, so I would special order this piece; but, the thing I and stuck on is which color to buy. I have a multicolored baroque strand; but, I only have one single pendant in a round Tahitian that is more of a dark gray color. I *think* I want either a blue stand OR a cherry strand (leaning towards blue) or possible peacock; but, it is such a huge decision. If you can only buy one strand like this...how do you pick the right color for you? Should I try to but loose pearls in each color so I can see them in person l? A trip to PP is not in the cards for me and the local jewelry stores only seem to have round gray Tahitians.
