Wink we celebrate the same anniversary. Married 8 years this August but together 15, first hubby.
It is also my grandparents anniversary who were married 49 years when she passed. It is so lovely to see all the long lasting marriages here. Gives us rookies a bit of hope

Me too. My first one was at 21, lasted a year. "Current" DH and I have been together for 7 years, and our third anniversary is next month. Amazing how much you appreciate a great partner when you've had to experience a terrible one!

Yeah, rookies is right. 36 yrs, only husband so far.

Laurie, you and I have some weird similarities in our lives. I haven't even told you some of them that I have derived from your postings. My marriage is hardly in healthy shape, but I am certainly married...and have been for: 36 years. To my first and only husband. In a few weeks it will be 37 years, but for now it is 36. When I went down to Virginia last month we had a date. We went out to dinner for Thai food, then repaired to an Italian restaurant (Vapiano) for mini desserts before going home. Still married to my Italian as the lady said in, "A Touch of Class".
