Is it possible to trick out the generic smiley face avatar for the 'avatarily challenged'? (I think I made a new word!

Ok, I'll give you a link to avatars. On the right of that page is a list, click Avatars home. In the search box to the right, type in christmas, and where it says Icons below, click that. A menu will pop up, click on Avatars. Then hit search. That should bring you to several pages of them.

When you find one you want, right click on it. There should be a menu box that pops up. Select "save picture as" or whatever it says that is similar. Another box should pop up, it's where the computer wants to save your av. Usually it will try to put it in a picture folder.

It should have a place to put the file name, change that to whatever you want. (you could save as is, but I've found they won't post with the title that comes with it). Underneath will be a place that says something like "save as type". In the slot it should already say jpeg, so nothing to do there. Then just click save. Now it's on your computer.

Next, go into your personal section here on the site. Go down the page a bit to where it says, Click here to upload a custom avatar to our server. Click, then hit the browse button. That will open up a box (on your computer), usually in your picture folder. If not, use the file search in the top of the box to get to where the av is.

Then click on the av, and that will put it in "file name". Next click "open". That will put the file in the space by Browse here on the site. Then just click Upload in the box to the far bottom right. If it worked, it will tell you so, (and you can always go check a post of yours to make sure). If not, a box should pop up saying a variety of things. You have my permission to cuss at this time.

Seriously, if that happens, it's probably because the file name won't work (make it unique).
