Lisa, it was her grandmas. Her grandma and grandpa were from New York and it belonged to her grandpa's mom. It is from 1897. I will try and find out more. It is a near colorless diamond and 3/4 carat center stone. I don't know about the side stones. Pictures don't do justice; it is so amazing!!! I love your 3 stone antique. Can you tell me more about that beauty??? Do you have any more pics of it?Date: 9/21/2007 3:56:40 PM

Can you tell us the history behind it. Was this a family heirloom?? Such a stunning ring. Is it her ering??
I was so excited at the pics I didn't see all that you wrote. I see now that her grandmother gave it to her. Lucky girl!!!

Kaleigh, if I grabbed your attention here, could you help me out in the US thread in the Shopping section. Sorry to bug you, but this question is worth 45 bucks.![]()
Miss Ellen, I doubt she will send it off even though the prongs need to be repaired and me thinks she is scared something might happen to it. I guess I understand. She will give it to her daughter someday. I love your beauty and I am glad Quest did an awesome job!!! Someday I will buy one of those oec/omc; they really make my heart sing!Date: 9/21/2007 9:56:09 PM

Hey skippers, I forgot to ask, is she thinking of sending the ring to Quest?
Well, I can understand being scared. Just try and make sure she gives it to someone reputable, maybe try finding someone who specalizes in old stones (of course, I did that and look what happened). But definitely get her to have it checked soon, if she''s going to wear it.Date: 9/21/2007 10:11:07 PM
