I am looking for an antique engagement ring and am having a bit of trouble narrowing down vendors and sources. Here is what I am looking for in the ring ...
Metal - white gold
CS weight - 0.25-0.6 ct
CS cut - round or emerald
Style/period - edwardian, art deco, or similar
price - in the ballpark of 2000
I have been looking at the rubylane and Leigh Nacht sites with little luck so far and was wondering if anybody had some suggestions for me?
Another question I have is whether or not it is feasible to have a local jeweler replace the CS in the vintage ring if i were to find a good setting with an off CS or a non-diamond CS? is this a common thing to do or are most vintage rings just take it as it comes?
Thanks in advance for the help
