....ring i found on blue nile. Please have a look and offer me some feedback. Is the I-color too low? Can I trust BN''s "signiture ideal cut?" Should i go to a different online retailer? I chose BN because the offer good financing (9%)...

Any feedback offered would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance

hmmm..i copied and pasted the link you have listed but all I got was BN''s diamond search page, which didn''t help!
Can you provide the specs from the BN site on the diamond you''re looking at? There are a lot of really great people here with a lot of knowledge available to help you out!

http://www.bluenile.com/diamonds_details.asp?pid=LD00973589&filter_id=1

if that doesnt work:

2.09 carats
signature princess cut
I color
VSI clarity
69.2 depth%
70% table
very good symetry
excellent polish
slightly thick to very thick gurtle
no floresence or cutlet
measurements 7.06x6.88x4.76 mm
crown height: 11.3%
lenght width ration 1.03

can i do better for the price... my top priority is sparkle followed by 2carat min.

If your top priority is sparkle, are you sure you want a princess cut? Ideal cut rounds will give you more sparkle for your money.

I''m not a fianancing of diamonds expert, but if you check out www.diamondsonweb.com they offer a ''buy now pay later'' option - you put 25% down and then finance the rest over a 6 month period (I think) and the interest rate ends up being something around 4%. of course, you have to be able to pay the purchase off in that period of time.

A couple of the other company''s online offer Chase''s "billmelater" option, which I believe you can find out more about at www.billmelater.com

We''re using a layaway program for my ring - no interest at all, and if you are able to pay off your purchse in about a 90 days period, that might be a good low-cost finance option as well.

thanks for the reply''s... we are set on princess cut, and the 9.9% at bn is better than bill me later, which after 90 days goes to 17.99%... i''ll need about 12 mos to pay off the financed amount, so 17.99% is out of the question....

about the diamond... is the I-color too low for a princess cut in platinum? will this ring have good fire and sparkle, or can i do better in a princess for the money?
