Hi everyone! New here and looking for some help! I am looking for a marquise lab diamond.
Any experts here willing to give some stone suggestions based on these parameters please?
  • 1.5 - 2ct range
  • Ratio 1.9 to 2.1
  • Budget is ideally under $1200 for the stone
  • D-G color
  • Ideal cut
  • Size 5 finger for reference
Setting will be in yellow gold but I still need to narrow down my choices. I love a dainty look for the setting and I would like it to be set as low as possible to have a low profile and to avoid catching on things. Budget for setting is ideally under $1200 also. I am guessing it would be best to get the stone and setting from the same place, unless I have the stone set by a local jeweler.

I have been drawn to this style with marquise side stones. However, I am worried that the side profile may be a bit too high, and the accent stones may be more likely to fall out (as some reviews mention in the JA link below). Any thoughts or experience with this style setting?

So I am also considering a simple, thin pave band as an alternative:

Any thoughts or suggestions on the stone and settings would be greatly appreciated. :)

No help with actual stone selection, but I would suggest if you’re getting a marquise stone, to choose a setting where the tips will be protected.

Hello and welcome to PriceScope, bunny67!
Do any of these stand out to you?

This one is a bit above your stated budget cap, but looks quite nice e in the video.

Hi again!

Which was your preference out of the first 2 you posted? And why, if you don't mind? I was thinking the second one since it has higher clarity, even though slightly smaller?

Also how does this one compare to the 3rd one you posted? Just trying to figure out what to look for.

Tagging the experts for help :)

Is there a video link for the last one you posted?

The first two LooseGrownDiamond links look very nice to my eyes, so I'd probably pick the bigger, cheaper one.

Hello, bunny67 - we'll need to see a video in order to assess that last one you are asking about in order to judge things like material quality, bowtie effect, light return, and overall optics.

One more option please, but this is CVD. Any thoughts on this one in comparison?
