Mining, sorting, cutting, treating, shipping and lets not forget marketing. 5 dollars dollars a ct. sounds like quite the bargain for BE treated sapphires. Heck good synthetics can cost around 200 a ct.

Good synthetics yes, but your average ordinary lab sapphire is cheap, so are be-sapphires. They're sold all over ebay for next to nothing.

Yes, I too let the lowest prices I see on Ebay set my buy price also. I don't understand why most pay more than the lowest prices seen there.
