Hearts on Fire Whimsical "X" earrings

I tried on a pair of the Hearts on Fire Whimsical "X" earrings at a local jewelry store and I really liked it. The earrings are small, only about 0.25 total ct. However, I am petite, and I really liked that style and size on me. I liked the fact that it is more interesting than the usual studs or huggies style earrings. But... the price is $1225. Do you think an online vendor, such as Whiteflash, can make something similar to it for less? Or is it worth it to pay for the real thing?

Going custom will likely cost nearly as much. You can get other HoF earrings second hand at a great discount on ebay, for example. I wouldn't pay retail for them. Just to compare, WF has a pair of earrrings with .50 cts. in small diamonds for $1159. That sport of shows how overpriced the HoF earrings are.
