I''ve been searching for a setting for my 1 carat round diamond....
I finally found the perfect setting at the expensive Mayfair''s in Woodbury, NY-- an delicate halo bezel setting with a very thin wire basket and thin wire band. The diamond was set very low and close to the finger. The jeweler called it was called a wire setting. I haven''t come across anything else like it.
But of course -- The ring is an antique from McTeigue and McCulland''s in NYC -- so in order to have the setting it would need to be custom made.
I haven''t gotten a quote yet but I''m sure the price for the setting will be out of my range.
I need help finding other antique wire settings! Has anyone heard of this before or have any pics?
