We celebrated our 47th anniversary Sunday with a drive into the mountains of Idaho, visiting Stanley Lake for a delightful picnic, then going to an ice cream store in Stanley with an outdoor pickup window, then to Redfish lake, which unfortunately was too crowded to even thing about getting out of the car for. After that we drove back to Boise via Sun Valley.
We were gone for nearly ten hours and enjoyed seeing the beautiful mountains and having hours to ourselves to just talk about something other than work and Covid.
Today is our actual anniversary, but work got in the way and I haven't even gotten out for lunch yet, and it is time to be heading home, which will be at least an hour away.
Still, I am blessed. 47 years with this wonderful lady and it looks like we just need to dodge this silly disease to make it to 50 years in only three more years. Life is pretty darn good when you are with the right soul mate.
