Which one should I get? I have a basket set pave band - which is black as coal :) It is so dirty and I can''t get it clean. Some stones on the prongs are micro-set... The wedding band I will get will be pave as well. I''ve been reading through some posts that say the ultrasonic is to harsh for this type of ring, then again - other people say it''s fine. I''m debating getting the ultasonic or the jewelry spa from QVC. Or, if there is something else on the market now, let me know.

I''d love to get some fresh opinions from people who use these cleaners.

Thank you for any opinions!!!

I strongly recomend you have it checked and professionaly cleaned then checked again.
With that much build up it could be hiding a lot of problems.

i agree with strm, you don''t want to try to clean it yourself with a machine and have stones fall out .... in the past appraisers have said that with items that are very dirty and/or possibly older or not have been cleaned in a while, all that is holding the stones in is the dirt.

re: cleaning it...i have read both good and bad on the salton, some said it just swishes water around which was not impressive to them, and others swear by it. i rave about my ultrasonic but there have also been mixed reviews on whether or not to use it on micro-pave...but it does a great job on my rings (which are not micro-pave!).

maybe a steam cleaner would work out?

but before doing anything i''d take it in and have it professionally cleaned and the diamonds inspected for any loose stones. good luck.

I have heard many good things about the Jewel Jet. I''ve seen different jewelers advertise it for different prices but all average around 90- 100 dollars. Do some research on it as i have heard it is pretty safe for pave.

Anyone have it or has tried it?
