Okay, I'm sure this has been asked a few times, but has anyone taken the GIA diamond grading courses and gotten their certificate?
The program I'm looking at is the following:
Distance Education: 2 Distance Education Courses and 1 Lab Class
Course/Class Number Course/Class Name Fee Distance Education: Self-Paced Completion with the Following Time Limits
GEM130 Diamond Essentials $130 3 months
GEM230 Diamond & Diamond Grading $1,200 15 months
GEM230L Diamond Grading Lab Class $1,150 in lab course, which is offered periodically in the city I live in.
For those who've taken the courses, how involved is the program? Right now, I work PT from home but not very many hours. I DO have two kids though, one is going into first grade and the other is still in preschool, so I don't have very much free time, so I'm not sure if the timing is right for signing up for the courses. It mostly depends upon how involved the studying in and how much time I'll need to dedicate.
Any thoughts?
