What a shame... he was a funny guy.
I hadn''t realized he was that old. And still performing! What a shocker....

Thoughts and prayers to his family. A man that made many smile.

I wasn''t into his humor... but.. I did like him when he played Mr. Conductor on the kid''s show. We never missed it when the kids were tiny. Sad.

He was a really good in Thomas the Train. It was wierd for me one night when I was babysitting a few years ago and put in the VHS to watch with the boy I was sitting for...and heard the voice of George Carlin. After only hearing him swear so much as a kid, it was refreshing to hear him doing kids'' stuff.

Oh I completely forgot he was the conductor on that show.

Carlin was my boyfriends'' favorite comedian.

I know when I heard about it today I thought of my dad who also died at 71 (last year) and his fav. comedian.

I remember the sketch about the airplane "The Safety Lecture" "Roof Flies Off."

My dad and I used to watch him a lot.

Very sad. I adored his humor, he was one of the greats in the comedic world. He will be missed by many.
