That looks more like an Aquamarine than a diamond to my eyes based on these images.

In any case, I suggest sending the stone to a reputable laboratory like GIA for a diamond report. Once you have the report which will state the carat weight, color/clarity/dimensions, you should be able to research online for comparables and get a rough idea of the market value for similar stones.

When you get the diamond report, please come back and post an update.

Good luck.

With the upmost respect to the OP
As i love the colour and do hope its a real aquamarina
I beleave any jewler or pawn shop has a thingy that tells you if its glass
I would just do that first before going to the exspensive of sending it away for a report

In all seriousness, if there are no jewelry stores in your area, I do not think there are any options for you to find out the value of this piece. I would tend to think it is glass due to the size. It is the color of the gemstone aquamarine, however. I'd just put it in a safe place and if you have the opportunity to travel to a city with a reputable jeweler, you can then ask for an appraisal of it's value and type of stone.
