I was want our reception to be a true celebration and a party from start to finish! So, in keeping with the non-traditional, laid-back, classic vibe that I'm going for, we've chosen "All I Do" by Stevie Wonder for our first dance. I'm trying to talk SO into doing a little routine for it He's not a comfortable dancer so we'll see I can't wait to dance to this song, It's going to be so much fun!

Lots of good songs ladies! We're not sure if we'll be dancing at our wedding or not. We aren't going to have dancing at the reception for the guests, so we're not sure if it would be weird to have a first dance for just us, with no other dancing.

The only reason we're not 100% sold is because close friends of ours just used it at their wedding and they'll be invited to ours. It doesn't stop us from liking it, but there are other more significant songs for us that others haven't already used in our social circle.

Agreed -- that's what I was saying. Despite LOVING it, we won't be using it for our wedding. Others who haven't heard it in their social groups should go for it though. It really is a great song!

And I TOTALLY know what you mean. Andrew's brother got married last year and their song was "Crazy Girl" by the Eli Young band. I can't hear that song and not associate it with them and their wedding now.

Aud, you've got other great options though, so you should be set! Just think, when you pick the song, someone will think of you and you (then) DH every time they hear it!! I have to say, I get all swoony when people talk about it reminding them of us...it takes me right back to that day!

I just had the worst dream/nightmare last night about our wedding...I was reading my Knot "timeline" book so maybe that's what spurred it. But basically part of the nightmare was that we got married and there was NO music! And I was SO pissed and screaming and yelling because to me the music is the most important part
