That was such a great article MZ! Ever since seeing Oldboy I have been perusing the web on and off to try and understand some of the meaning behind Park''s movies. There clearly has to be so much going on behind what we see. I appreciated reading the interview and learning some of these things!

One interesting fact I came across was that the protagonist in Oldboy really DID have to eat a live octopus for the restaurant scene, and had to do it 4 times. I can''t believe it. Since he''s a buddhist, he would pray to the octopuses for forgiveness before each take. Fascinating. I would have puked.
