You know how the light looks in The Centenary Diamond as though there is a myriad of tiny spots or shapes unlike the round brilliant where we see more spears of shapes (at least to me)? Anyway I was looking at marquise diamonds and notice in daylight how they seem to have little spots of light in them which remind me of the look in the Centenary Diamond. Am I right that marquise does have the same type of look or is it something else?

This is way above my head, but... it seems that the "pinfire" look of diamonds comes from multiple internal reflections - something that ideal cuts thrive to kill to achieve better brilliance...
