Hi,
I''m a new member here but I''ve been lurking for the past month and using the search tool every day. I have come across a diamond I think looks nice for my budget I know how they get bought quickly so I need some advice. This is the diamond here:

http://www.whiteflash.com/diamonds/diamond_Details.aspx?itemcode=8543667#

The only problem is it is a EGL cert and there is a little cluster of something in the middle of the scan. Can this be trusted or using your experience will it look horrible? I plugged the %''s in to the hollaway cut advisor and it got a 1.1 ex ex ex gd. I''m happy with the size, color and price.

Please help a new guy find a good less expensive diamond.

Thanks for your help in advance,
Josh

No expert but those are tightly packed inclusions and Im guessing you'd be able to notice it since its right under the table-- --you'd have to ask WF. Its a little deep for my taste which means it would have more of its weight on the bottom and not at the top where you want to see it, Its also why you got a good on the spread

Thanks alot, I think I''ll keep looking then, just hard to find a nice 1ct round ideal in the low $4000 range. Thanks again for your advice, really appreciate these forums when you''re trying to do something as stressful as buying a diamond.

What about any of these? They are from WF''s Expert Selection section. I would call them when they open to make sure they are eye-clean.

I had to drop down to a J myself in order to get the 1ct I wanted. It faces up totally white and is a gorgeous diamond! Don''t be afraid to drop down in color. You may have to in order to stay right around the $4K mark.

1.01 H SI2 for $4398

0.99 I SI1 H&A for $4254

These are both WF stones too.

I would nix that EGL stone because of its depth anyway.

I think to stay with F-G color you''ll need to drop below 1 carat.

0.902 G SI1 H&A for $4383

0.96 E SI2 H&A for $4422

or pay a bit more:

1.03 G SI2 H&A for $4575

Remember that EGL F/SI1''s are priced more like GIA G/SI2''s, so don''t worry about a drop in one grade.

P.S. I don''t think any of these stones are labeled as H&A by WF. I''m just writing that because that''s what the images look like to me. But I''m not an expert.

I dunno if you''re one of those people who says the first ering is the last ering, but... I''d get a GIA/AGS stone from WF cuz they don''t do trade-ups for EGLs.
