DF, I think one gets to the point where "enough is enough" whatever reasons are used to justify large price increases e.g. in a single month.

What I wish is that the vendors would announce price increases before they take effect.

If I'm a vendor who can hold a diamond and sell it for $11,000 next week after the increase, why would I want to announce that today so I can sell it for $10,000 before the increase?

That would be throwing away $1,000.
Being nice is nice, but these are businesses.
