Ending the year....with colour?!

So, I began 2014 with only a single coloured stone ring - a garnet that I bought from TL and set in an LOGR setting back in 2009. Ending the year with a grand total of 10. The last one for the year is an electric blue topaz cut by Doug Menadue and is currently being set at Joe Escobar.

I also added several more loose stones to my collection this year, these will be set in 2015. The next one in line is a gorgeous rubelite cut by Jeff White.

Thanks, DK! I decided on the setting of the rube the moment I laid eyes on it! It'll be a 3-stone with half-moons, with the basket in yg and the shank in wg. I just need to decide on a vendor (most probably JE again). Just need time to begin the design process

Ahhh, I WISH it were an emerald! It's a tourmaline, and I bought it from our very own Athenaworth. Attached another pic for you.

Yes, Pricescopers, and the Great Wall of China, are visible to the ISS during the day as well. LOL!

Looks like we have a fellow kindred spirit here! I am afraid of putting my wish-list on paper, lest I freak hubby out, but here goes:

1- VCA onyx and yg alhambra studs - in the large size - hoping for these as a Christmas gift this year
2- VCA perlee bangle in rose gold - will be buying this early next year as a gift to myself
3- VCA vintage alhambra between the finger ring
4- Other misc VCA to finish collection: pendant, sweet MOP butterfly bracelet, small frivole yg earrings
5- Cartier ss and rose gold with diamonds Ballon Blue watch - have officially asked for this for next year's combined anni/birthday present from hubby

And then a million other things I want from VCA but will never get, like the large all-pave lotus/cosmos earrings...*sigh*

Actually, as much as it kills me to admit this, I rarely wear my coloured stone rings - which is why I am abandoning any additional CS purchases. They seem to sit unloved in my safe for the most part. I wear my 5-stone band as an RHR on most days. It's quite pathetic.
